Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS line is getting down and dirty with the people, giving us a bush just in time for the colder weather. The faux hair micro string thong- in 12 variations of color and hair texture could be a sign of rising obscurity. Some may even say a recession sign, but to me, it’s a stroke of marketing genius. 

By making our bush her business, Kim Kardashian has done what she does best: given us something to talk about. With social media dictating relevancy by the minute on for you page algorithms, staying in conversation is a new game everyday. PR stunt after PR stunt, SKIMS is holding their audience by the bush, keeping us talking, clicking and adding to cart.

As a marketing move, the bush is working. Skeptics, critics, bush enthusiasts alike are all opening the website to simply confirm the thong’s existence. Spoiler: it is.

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a bit, and let's not lie, this is a damn good one. People love irony and Kim Kardashian knows that better than anyone. She’s leveling the quality of her skims lines with the quality of the gag. So go ahead, get yourself a bush for the party. Pair it with your micro mini, let a little “clay black curly” peak from your sequined micro shorts, dye “clay blonde straight” green and you can be a new interpretation of the joker for halloween this year. The possibilities? Truly endless.
