Likkle Riddim: Trick or Freak
Kick off the spooky season with a dance hall Halloween party at The Song & Dance, where the only trick you’ll need is knowing when to call it a night. Dance your heart out from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 115 E Jefferson St, Syracuse, NY.

Missing Syracuse’s house show scene? The Jugg is hosting live music starting at 8:30 p.m., featuring bands like SU hardcore band Char. It is the perfect way to kick off the weekend. DM @thejuggpresents on Instagram for the address.

Monster Jam
Monster Jam is taking over the JMA Wireless Dome this Saturday at 5 p.m. Expect massive trucks, plenty of jumps and lots of noise. It’s all going down at 900 Irving Ave., where the show is built to get wrecked.

Boy Jr.’s Halloween Vampire Ball
It’s time to pull that dusty vampire costume out of your closet. After Dark and Mosh Retirement are teaming up for Boy Jr.’s Halloween Vampire Ball, featuring a costume contest and special guests SoberDose and Fantasia. The party starts at 8 p.m. at 307-313 Clinton St., so brush those fangs and get ready to sink your teeth into the night. The event is 16+ and ID is required.

Method Man & Redman
Two hip-hop icons on one stage. Method Man and Redman are hitting Upstate Medical University Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial on Saturday at 8 p.m. If you have been waiting for a chance to hear their music live, this is the show to catch.

The Coven
Finally, SU has its very own gothic basement venue, and the goth kid inside all of us has never been happier (or is it sadder?). Wear your blackest black, your goth-est look, or whatever your costume closet coughs up. There will be a performance from DJ Moonshake featuring metal band Eternal September, Abjection and Sleeper Pick. Doors are at 8:30 p.m., and music is at 9 p.m. Don’t be late!
The Field
Jerk has missed The Field, and The Field is back. Saturday at 10 p.m. is THE party to be at this weekend, featuring extra spooky tarot readings from Jerk’s in-house witch. DM @thefield_cuse on Instagram to get the address, and a glimpse into your future.
