Squid Game is a Korean drama following a group of contestants that are invited to compete in a series of games for a huge cash prize. Everything seems to be fine until people start dying or go missing… No Spoilers! We’re keeping our promise. If you want to know the ending, go check it out on Netflix and prepare to binge your heart out. You won’t regret it.
In the meantime, here are some recommendations that’ll keep you hooked and ready to enter a whole new world.
3%
3% is about a dystopian world in which the majority of the people are in poverty with the opportunity for 20-year-olds to advance to a virtual paradise called the Offshore. With a series of tests included, it gives serious Divergent vibes. It’s available on Netflix and has four seasons, so you don’t have to worry about rushing through.
Sweet Home
Based on a webtoon, Sweet Home is basically if a zombie apocalypse met Venom. People turn against each other and it gets harder and harder to tell who’s a monster and who isn’t...Just be warned: there’s quite a bit of gore.
Alice in Borderland
Have you ever traveled somewhere and felt like you got stuck in a different reality? Welcome to Alice in Borderland. With an eclectic group of characters (who are all STUNNING btw) and layers that keep getting deeper, you can’t go wrong. It’s categorized as a thriller, so get ready to rumble.
Battle Royale
Last but certainly not least, we have Battle Royale. The concept is basically the same as The Hunger Games but with way more people. 42 high school freshmen have to fight for survival as collars are placed on their necks, and will explode if the rules are not followed. Everyone tries to kill each other, and there can only be one left standing. Oh, and it’s also Quentin Tarantino’s favorite movie, so...get ready to bond with those pretentious film majors you’ve been eyeing.
