The End of Excitement

Spring semester has always created a sense of despair for many college students on campus. After all, the only safe haven we get to look forward to now is one measly spring break to balance out the brutal 15 weeks of work and stress. Plus, with the constant snow and rain here at SU, we’re lucky if we get a couple hours of sunlight at most. It’s absolutely inhumane to try and go out in this weather. So what does this lovely combination leave us with? Absolutely no excitement for the semester.

And the classes! Even though they’re different from fall semester, for some strange reason, spring courses always seem to be more challenging. Maybe that luxurious month-long winter break really did kill off some brain cells.

The weeks may dwindle, but it gets harder and harder as each week goes by. The assignments start to pile up and our syllabi become our best friends as we dread the inevitable— midterms and finals. Even after finals finish, we can’t even take the time to breathe… because oh guess what?! Now we have to pack everything back up to leave. Great.
