Whether he’s drawing fouls from the other team or pretty pictures in his notebook during class, Brandon Triche, the sophomore shooting guard for the Syracuse Orange, is always on top of his game. He spills to JERK about losing to Marquette, the weirdest place he’s had sex, and what he looks for in a girlfriend.

What’s the weirdest request you’ve ever gotten from a fan? A random guy asked me what my phone number was. I told him I didn’t have a cell phone.

If you didn’t play Cuse Hoops, what would you do? I’d be a coach, a skill developer, like a personal trainer. I’ve played sports for most of my life, so I’ve never really thought of anything else.

What’s something people don’t know about you? That I can draw pretty well. I draw people and still images. I just do it sometimes when I’m in class.

Most embarrassing thing you’ve done drunkenly? I don’t drink alcohol, so I’ve never been drunk. I usually don’t go to the parties where there’s drinking because I won’t have any fun, but I usually go to the dance parties where there is no alcohol. I have rhythm.

What do you look for in a girl? Something that’s unique that sticks out about her. It can be something crazy about her eyes or her figure, but something that’s different.

Dream job? Playing in the NBA. My favorite player is Kobe Bryant, so right now [if I could] I’d be playing with the Lakers.

What’s the most scandalous place you’ve had sex? When I was younger, in a wooded area near where I live in Syracuse. When you’re young, you don’t have sex in your house. You just can’t. My parents wouldn’t just let me – I couldn’t really even have girls over.

Do you have any other guilty pleasures? I actually love Snickers and Reese’s. But it depends if I’m on a diet, because then I don’t eat candy. Depending on the diet, I might just take one day where I can eat what I want, and chocolate is definitely involved in that.

What are your thoughts on SU’s loss to Marquette? As a team, we were disappointed mainly because we felt that we had a team that could go really far. It’s tough to lose anytime, but we lost to Marquette twice, and both times had a three-point lead with two minutes to go. In the tournament, I fell and hurt my tailbone, and that disabled me for the second half. I cheered my team on, but it hurts to watch the guys you been with for eight months, preparing for this moment, play without my help.

Freshman year at SU, you were the kid who? Everyone thought was quiet and very, very intimidating because I always had a stone-face.

If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy? I love sneakers, so probably the first thing I’d do is go shopping. I have a shoe fetish.

Yeah, that's right, Brandon said he likes to draw. Check out one his latest drawings:
