Let’s face it: we love our parents. Though college is great because you are finally away from home, the truth is, being away from home just makes it more acceptable to text and call our moms and dads. Whether it’s a text to remind us to do something, to wish us luck with a test, to tell us how to make dinner, or to discuss the latest breaking news regarding the election, our parents are constantly texting us.

In honor of parent’s weekend approaching, we asked students to send screenshots of the funniest texts they’ve received from their parents, with messages ranging from rants about “The Bachelor” to selfies of themselves. It’s fair to argue that our parent’s text messages are the humor we need to power through a long week.
