After student voting and much anticipation, both Avicii and B.o.B. will headline Juice Jam on September 11, according to University Union. Along with the annual concert, Juice Jam will include the launch of Syracuse University’s Better Together for 9/11, honoring the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Responding to President Barack Obama’s Interfaith and Community Service Challenge, Better Together for 9/11 is a program created by Interfaith Youth Core, a national organization. This program challenges college students from different backgrounds to bond and help better their local community. Together University Union and Hendricks Chapel will launch the initiative at SU.

As part of the program, University Union will donate part of the proceeds from Juice Jam to a local charity.

Also, concert attendees are encouraged, as always, to participate in the involvement fair. Along with representatives from over 100 organizations, interfaith and service organizations will have interactive community service projects like creating care packages and packing bag lunches.

Juice Jam will begin at 4:00 p.m. on South Campus’ Skytop Fields, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. Tickets will cost $10 for SU and SUNY ESF students and faculty. Tickets go on sale August 25th online or at the box office in Schine. A free shuttle will transport students living on main campus and will be making stops at College Place, Stadium Place, and Skytop Field.

If you are completely out of the loop, Avicii is a house music DJ with hits such as “Fade into the Darkness” and “Levels.” As for B.o.B., the songs "Airplanes” and “Magic" have made the American rapper a household name.
