The Sassiest Reactions to This Year's Block Party Announcement
Each spring, students get giddy with anticipation for University Union's announcement about who will be performing at Block Party, Syracuse University's big end-of-the-year concert extravaganza. For weeks now, there have been rumors as to whether or not the event will even happen at all after Chancellor Kent was so displeased with our No. 1 party school ranking.
But, fear not — the festivities will carry on as UU announced Tuesday night that the 2015 Block Party co-headliners are rapper 50 Cent with G-Unit and EDM artist Kygo. Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd is the supporting act.
The hours after a big UU announcement can bring some pretty damn entertaining social media posts, and while there were plenty of joyous comments from students whose early 2000s dreams are coming true, we all know the sassy reactions are the best part. Enjoy.

I don't hate that 50 is coming. I'm just disappointed. Like when you want pizza and you end up eating Sbarro instead #BP15 — Marabia Smith (@MarabianNights) April 1, 2015
How the #BP15 performers were chosen: Chancellor Kent; write down all the rappers you know and put them in a hat. Now pick........

Q: What did 50 Cent say after his grandma made him a sweater? A: Gee, you knit? #BP15 is a bad joke.

The last time I listened to 50 Cent, I called him "half dollar" because I thought that was witty and clever. I was also in 5th grade. #BP15 — Chloe Meister (@chloe_meister) April 1, 2015
